pantryA group of NAPCO employees recently volunteered their time at the Niles Township Food Pantry. The crew unpacked food from two trucks. They broke down the boxes and put it on shelves, sorted into bakery, meat and dairy items. The food pantry serves about 3,500 clients per month.

The participating employees included Dani Nichols, Steve Coven, Jackie Stuckert, Michael Ramirez and Helena Petrusic. According to Dani Nichols, Vice-President at NAPCO, “We were looking for a way to give back to the community and someone mentioned the food pantry. It seemed like a good fit for us because our business is in the township. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the opportunity and the folks at the pantry were very appreciative.”

The NAPCO employees spent three hours breaking down food delivered from the Greater Chicago Food Depository. They put the food onto shelves, ready to be packed into boxes for the pantry clients. The Niles Township Food Pantry is located at 5255 Main Street in Skokie, IL. They serve families and individuals from portions of Skokie, Glenview, Morton Grove, Lincolnwood and Evanston.
