How long have you worked at NAPCO?

I’ve actually been with NAPCO in two chapters. The first time was about six years, then I took some time away to focus on raising my kids. I came back about two years ago, so altogether, I’ve been with NAPCO for around eight years.

Can you tell us about your previous role in Customer Care?

In Customer Care, I worked closely with our customers on everything from placing orders to tracking shipments and opening new accounts. It was a lot of problem-solving—sometimes customers would call us from the job site needing products right away, so timing was everything. I loved building relationships with them, learning their stories, and becoming part of their day-to-day.

How has your Customer Care experience helped you transition into sales?

Customer Care really set the foundation. The skills I developed asking the right questions, troubleshooting, and putting myself in the customer’s shoes all carry over into sales. Now, instead of asking what went wrong with a product, I’m asking what made them reach out to NAPCO and how we can be the solution they need.

What do you enjoy most about being in sales so far?

I love the thrill of landing a new customer. Recently, we had someone who had been loyal to another company for years. He wasn’t sure what made NAPCO different, so he signed up for a training class. After seeing how we operate, he was sold. The very next day, he placed a large order and even brought us coffee and donuts! For me, winning new customers is exciting, but it’s more about building those long-term relationships that keeps NAPCO strong.

What originally drew you to NAPCO, and what brought you back?

When I first joined, I was young and just starting out, but NAPCO felt like family. The company is so supportive of employees’ lives outside of work. When I left, I was planning to pursue court interpreting, but life had other plans. My oldest son needed therapy for developmental challenges, and stepping back allowed me to focus on him. Later, when I was ready to return, Jackie from NAPCO reached out, and it felt like the perfect fit all over again. I didn’t even hesitate.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?

I’m a bit of a DIYer. I like projects around the house, especially in the bathroom. I also love going to the movies, watching documentaries, and spending time with my family. Cooking out is big in our house—my husband makes the best ribs. Lately, we’ve started a new family tradition of trying a different restaurant every Sunday. My kids even help pick places by searching YouTube for new ideas.

What do you hope to achieve at NAPCO moving forward?

My goal is to help NAPCO grow and reach new levels. I see myself retiring here someday, so I’m invested in making sure our customers not only choose us once but stay with us for the long run.
